With the core theme “Empower New Quality Enterprises, Activate Brand Momentum,” the conference focused on key topics including nurturing new quality productive forces, elevating brand influence, and passing on the entrepreneurial spirit—building a high-end platform for government–enterprise engagement, industry–academia–research integration, and international exchange. As a business leader who is both an industrialist and a philanthropist, Dame Hung Tsz Ching has cultivated her fields for many years and received honours including “China’s Top Ten Brand Women,” “Asia-Pacific’s Most Socially Responsible Economic Leader,” and the “China Philanthropist Award.” Her outstanding achievements in industry and philanthropy are widely recognised; her presence drew close attention from guests on site. Under the title Philanthropy Adds Lustre to Corporate Brands, drawing on her rich experience in building industry and practising charity, she shared distinctive insights on the deep integration of philanthropy and corporate brand building.

Speaking on the theme Philanthropy Adds Lustre to Corporate Brands, Dame Hung Tsz Ching emphasised that the core of a brand is trust, and that philanthropy is a vital path for enterprises to accumulate trust and shape brand warmth—as well as an important pillar for new quality enterprises to achieve high-quality development. She noted that Chinese brands are now at a critical juncture of transformation from “Made in China” to “Brands of China.” New quality entrepreneurs must not only deepen their core fields and hold to the original aspiration of innovation, but also integrate philanthropy into corporate development strategy, making public good a distinctive ground colour of the brand. “Enterprise development cannot be separated from the nourishment of society. Practising social responsibility and engaging in philanthropy have never been an extra burden; they are the foundation of a brand’s lasting growth and the core expression of brand soft power.”

Drawing on her own practice, she shared that since founding the Hung Tsz Ching Charity Foundation during post-disaster reconstruction after the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake, she has consistently treated philanthropy as an important part of enterprise development. Her personal charitable contributions have reached RMB 100 million. She has led the Foundation to build schools in impoverished mountain areas, donate medical clinics for rural communities, support orphans, visit the elderly, and help build water cellars—supporting post-disaster reconstruction and rural revitalisation, and practising with concrete action the belief of “bringing the gift of fortune to those less fortunate.” Recently, a major fire at Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po, Hong Kong, left many residents affected and homes damaged. Upon learning the news, she and Professor To’s greater-health company immediately donated RMB 1 million in cash to the Hong Kong SAR Government to assist Tai Po fire victims, earmarked for emergency resettlement, daily supplies, and post-disaster reconstruction—passing on warmth through action and helping fellow citizens through hardship. “That Clear Sky Group has built a strong reputation in the industry stems not only from our professional depth in post-investment management, asset management, and related fields, but still more from the philanthropic original aspiration we have always upheld—every investment in public good, every act of kindness, makes the brand warmer and more influential.”

Dame Hung Tsz Ching further explained that philanthropy is a long-held social responsibility and commitment. She called on new quality entrepreneurs to take up social responsibility of their own accord, keep philanthropy as their original aspiration, enrich brand meaning and elevate brand value, let the flower of charity bloom, add lustre to corporate brands, and inject warm momentum into the high-quality development of Chinese brands.
